JHS drama students to attend international festival

Advanced drama students from Jefferson High School are headed for the International Thespian Festival in June following an award-filled performance weekend in Missoula.

The troupe performed Laura Lundgren Smith’s one-act show “The Shape of the Grave” at the Montana State Thespian Festival, which took place Friday and Saturday and host most most of the state’s Class AA schools and a few Class A and Class B schools, faculty advisor Mike Hesford said by email.

The JHS students took home awards including Outstanding Drama, Outstanding Actress in a Drama (Emme Rosenbaum), Outstanding Supporting Actress (Josie Marks), Outstanding Student Director (Dakota Zufelt) and Outstanding Costumes in the drama category, he wrote.
