Programs aim to give Boulder a facelift

The Boulder City Council on Feb. 19 unanimously approved two items that were developed and recommended by the Boulder Development Fund Board and are intended to make downtown Boulder more attractive, possibly starting as soon as the summer.

For one item, the City Council authorized requesting proposals to make Main Street in downtown Boulder more appealing to tourists and residents alike.

According to the Request for Proposal prepared by the Boulder Development Fund Board, “improving the appearance of downtown is an important action found throughout both the Growth Policy and the Downtown Master Plan … with the goal of enhancing the appeal of the community and attracting more visitors and residents to shop and dine downtown.”
