Boulder Kiwanis expanding school program

Boulder Kiwanis will expand its Bring Up Grades, or BUG, program this fall.

Historically recognizing elementary school students who improve their grades, the program will be renamed Bring Up Goals to encompass other areas of improvements, Boulder Kiwanis Treasurer Gary Craft said.

Local Kiwanis members would like to recognize those students who, say, improve their attendance or reduce the number of times they visit the principal’s office, he explained, adding that they got the idea from a Helena-area Kiwanis club.
