Some rodeo events planned for August

The Northern Rodeo Association portion of the Jefferson County Rodeo has been canceled, but there are several local events that are planned for later this month.

The Jefferson County Rodeo Association will host a three-day event, Aug. 28-30, that features barrel racing, a parade and in-county adult and children’s rodeos.

The NRA sanctioned rodeo was canceled due to to health concerns, according to a press release issued by the JCRA.
