Parents: Should schools reopen or stay closed?

Parent survey results from four county schools — Jefferson High School and Boulder, Montana City and Clancy elementary schools — showed that parents of K-8 students are more inclined to remain closed, while the high school parents are about equally split on the question of reopening. 

Boulder Elementary School Principal Maria Pace said at a Monday special school board meeting that parents “overwhelmingly” — 79.5% — wanted school to stay closed. 

The board, in turn, unanimously voted to stick with remote learning for the rest of the school year and keep the building closed. The last day of school is June 5.
