INVITATION FOR BIDS LEASE OF STATE LANDS
Sealed bids will be accepted by the Montana Department of Natural Resources and Conservation, Ag & Grazing Management Bureau, P.O. Box 201601, Helena, Montana 59620-1601, through February 19, 2025, for a 10-year Ag and Grazing Lease on the following described land in Jefferson County.
N2NW4 less HWY ROW Section 3 Township 5 North, Range 4 West, ALL N of HWY 89 Section 4 Township 5 North, Range 4 West containing a total of 41.49 grazing acres and 113 ag acres.
The minimum bid rate is $483.00 based on a grazing carrying capacity of 21 AUMs at a rate of $23.00 per AUM, plus the minimum cash rental of $2,260.00 based on $20.00 per acre for 113 acres of Ag land.
By law all bids in order to be considered valid must include a deposit in the form of a certified check, cashier’s check or money order in the amount equal to 100% of the amount bid for grazing, $20.00 per acre for the agricultural land, plus a non-refundable lease application fee of $25.00. In order to be considered, all bids must be accom¬pa¬nied with a completed application to lease state lands.
The State Board of Land Commissioners reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
