Clancy Water gets news on test well. It’s not good.

The Clancy Water and Sewer District board heard on Jan. 29 from Great West Engineering on the progress of testing for a long-delayed well that would feed a community water system. The report did not bring many smiles.

Joel Pilcher, a project manager for Great West, said that recent tests on pumping capacity on test wells on the Legal Tender property and a nearby parcel owned by resident Steve Marks were not exceptional.

At the Legal Tender site, workers were able to pump approximately 36 gallons per minute without significantly drawing down the level in the aquifer. But a test at 50 gallons per minute, he said, caused significant disturbance.
