Boulder is one of three Montana towns selected to participate in the second phase of the Community Heart & Soul program. The national initiative, stewarded in Montana by the Montana Community Foundtion and MSU Extension, is aimed at engaging residents to imagine their communities’ future and establish long-term goals and action plans.
Boulder joined the initial Montana Heart & Soul cohort last June, and held monthly meetings at City Hall to build interest and engagement and map the community’s assets, actors and resources. Now, under the direction of Southwest Youth Partners’ Rochelle Hesford, it will receive a $10,000 seed grant and a $10,000 matching grant to support community-based project coordinators and activities for up to two years.
Havre and Broadus also were selected.
