The initiative is aimed at encouraging commercial properties and local businesses on Main Street to improve the exterior appearance of their buildings and storefronts by providing a 1:1 matching contributions of up to $5,000 for exterior improvements such as cleaning, repairs, painting and signage. The City opened the window for applications last month; the first projects will be selected this month, and the corresponding work will begin in August.
